Forest Safari


Among plenty of activities, forest safari is the best part of Kanha. The open vehicle safari (jeep safari) will allow you to spot barking deer, Indian gaur or even the king of the jungle, the Bengal Tiger.


Natural Trails


From the Khatiya gate, you can find a long 7-km stretched natural trail encircling the forest. This natural path can be explored by you. However, you will hardy bump into wild animals apart from monkeys and birds.

The closest airbase is at Nagpur, approximately 266 Km from Kanha National Park. Jabalpur Airport is also just a 4 and half hour journey.


The tourists can prefer rail route. However, they have to de-board at Jabalpur, 169 Km from Kanha.


It’s also a good idea to drive from Nagpur (266 Km), Khajuraho (445 Km), Jabalpur (175 Km), Raipur (219 Km). Bus service from Jabalpur can also be availed.
